What’s at the intersection of women and prosperity?

I’ve been on the seeker’s path for almost my whole adult life, and I’ve been blessed to witness that an incredible power lies at the intersection of women and wealth. It’s a combination that’s not just changing lives – it’s reshaping our world.

For me, it’s a simple equation: Women + Wealth = Empowerment.

I remember the first time I truly grasped the importance of financial empowerment. I had just watched my first company sink down into the morass of an industry-wide collapse, and I was feeling utterly lost. Suddenly, money felt like this mysterious force that controlled my life, rather than a tool I could use to shape my desires. Sound familiar?

I became determined to take control of my finances. When we women make that choice, magic happens. It’s not just about having a bigger bank balance (though that’s nice, too!). It’s about the freedom to make choices. The ability to say ‘yes’ to opportunities and ‘no’ to situations that no longer support us. It’s about creating a ripple effect of change that extends far beyond our own individual lives.

When women are financially empowered, we invest more in our families and communities – according to the interwebs, 70-80%, vs. 30-40% for men. We start businesses that create jobs. We fund causes we care about. We break cycles of dependency and show the next generation what’s possible. In short, we change the world.

Of course, as with any worthwhile venture, financial empowerment comes with its challenges. Maybe you’re juggling career and family responsibilities, or navigating a financial landscape that wasn’t designed with you in mind. Perhaps you’re growing faster than you feel is supportable long-term, or you have all the money but no honey (this happens with a LOT of women, believe it or not!) The exciting part is that more and more women are rewriting these stories to create lives they love.

It starts with small steps, like educating yourself about an area of investing, or taking a deep look at what generational wealth would mean to you in dollars. It could be having an honest conversation about money with your partner, or teaching your daughter the financial skills you wish you’d learned earlier. Whatever it is, remember this: every step towards financial empowerment is a step towards a more equitable world.

And let’s not forget the power of community. When women come together to support each other’s financial journeys, incredible things happen. We share knowledge, we lift each other up, we celebrate each other’s wins. It’s like having a personal cheerleading squad for your journey to generational wealth!
