Do you really need money mindset in 2026?

It’s Q2 of 2026 already. How did that happen? Let’s take a second and look around. We’ve got AI doing our grocery shopping, digital currencies that fluctuate while we’re brushing our teeth, and more “wealth-building” apps than we may have money to spend. It feels like the financial world is moving at warp speed, right?
It’s time to restart my weekly newsletter, because I always want to help you and the landscape out there is starting to look more confusing than ever.
So first, I want you to be really honest with yourself for a moment. How’s your heart feeling when you look at your bank account? Do you feel safe holding wealth? Do you trust yourself with money?
Because this is where the real conversation begins.
You might be wondering, with all the high-tech tools at our fingertips, does your “money mindset” even matter anymore? Is it just some “woo-woo” relic from 2010 that we should’ve left behind?
I think it matters more than ever.
I know that your money mindset is the absolute foundation for everything else you’re trying to build. You can have the best crypto strategy in the world and a portfolio managed by the smartest AI on the planet, but if your internal “software” is glitchy, you’re never going to feel truly wealthy.
Technical Knowledge vs. The Needle-Mover
Here’s the thing I’ve noticed after years of wealth coaching for women: Technical knowledge is cheap. Seriously. In 2026, you can Google (or ask an AI) exactly how to balance a budget or invest in an index fund in three seconds. But info alone doesn’t change lives. If it did, we’d all be millionaires with six-pack abs, amiright?
What ACTUALLY moves the needle is your mindset.
Your money changes when you change. I’ve seen women with massive inheritances blow through every cent because they felt unworthy of keeping it. And I’ve seen women starting from zero build empires because they decided the Universe was an abundant place and they were meant to lead.
So, if you’re feeling stuck, it’s probably not because you need a new spreadsheet. It’s because you’re hitting an invisible ceiling. (And let’s be real, that ceiling is usually made of our own inherited, dusty beliefs.)
Why Women and Wealth are the Ultimate Power Couple
Let’s talk specifically about women and wealth. We’re living in an incredible time, but we’re also carrying around a lot of historical “junk.” For centuries, women weren’t even allowed to own property or have their own credit cards. That stuff doesn’t just disappear overnight; it gets passed down in our DNA and our dinner-table conversations.
Have you ever felt like you had to choose between being “a good person” and being “rich”? Or maybe you feel like if you make too much money, people will think you’re greedy or, God forbid, difficult.
These are what we call money blocks. And overcoming money blocks is like clearing the weeds out of a garden so the flowers can actually grow. If you don’t pull them out by the root, they just keep coming back, no matter how much “financial fertilizer” you throw at the soil.
The Scarcity Trap in a High-Tech World
Even in 2026, the scarcity trap is everywhere. We see the headlines about inflation, market volatility, and global shifts, and our lizard brains go into “hoard” mode. We start operating from a place of fear.
But here’s a secret: The Universe doesn’t respond to fear. It responds to clarity and frequency.
When you operate from scarcity, you’re essentially telling the Universe, “There isn’t enough, and I’m not sure I can handle what I have.” Guess what you get back? More situations that prove there isn’t enough. It’s an exhausting hamster wheel.
On the flip side, financial freedom for women starts with an abundance mindset. This isn’t just about thinking happy thoughts while your car gets repossessed. It’s about a deep, cellular knowing that resources are infinite and you are a capable steward of those resources.
A Quick Story: The “Success” Who Felt Like a Failure
I want to tell you about a client I worked with recently, let’s call her Sarah. Sarah is a powerhouse. She has a thriving consulting business, her kids are in great schools, and on paper, she’s “made it.” But when she came to me asking for wealth coaching for women, she was miserable.
She told me, “Halle, I’m making more money than ever, but I feel like a fraud. I’m terrified it’s all going to disappear tomorrow.”
Sarah was stuck in what I call “The Driver” mode. She was pushing, grinding, and white-knuckling her way to success because her underlying money mindset was rooted in the belief that money only comes through suffering. She hadn’t realized that her “money blocks” were actually protecting her from the very ease she claimed she wanted.
We spent weeks digging into her past, and we found a memory of her father losing his job when she was eight. That little girl decided that money was “dangerous” because it could be taken away.
Once we cleared that? She didn’t just make more money; she started enjoying it. She stopped checking her bank app twenty times a day. She started saying “yes” to opportunities that felt fun, not just the ones that felt “hard.”
Isn’t it interesting how a memory from thirty years ago can still be running the show in 2026?
Practical Steps for Overcoming Money Blocks Right Now
So, how do we actually do this? How do we move into that space of true financial empowerment? Here’s a framework you can use:
- Audit Your Language: Start listening to how you talk about money. Do you say things like “I can’t afford that” or “Money is so tight right now”? Even if it feels true in the moment, you’re reinforcing a reality you don’t want. Try shifting to “I’m choosing to put my resources elsewhere right now.”
- Face the Numbers: Fear lives in the dark. If you’re avoiding looking at your debt or your investments, you’re giving them power over you. Open the apps. Look at the statements. Take a deep breath and realize they’re just numbers, not a reflection of your worth. Trust me, you will feel better afterwards!
- Ask the Universe for a Sign: (Seriously, just try it) Ask for a clear sign that abundance is headed your way, then keep your eyes open. It might be a literal penny on the ground or a surprise discount on a bill. Acknowledge it when it happens.
- Invest in Yourself: Whether it’s a book, a course, or a coaching program, putting “skin in the game” tells your brain (and the Universe) that you’re serious about your growth.
The Foundation for Your Future
The world is only going to get more complex. Technology will keep evolving, and the way we interact with currency will keep changing. But your heart? That stays the same. Your need to feel secure, empowered, and free doesn’t change with the latest software update.
Financial freedom for women isn’t just about the number in your bank account. It’s about the freedom to make choices based on joy rather than survival. It’s about being able to support the causes you care about, take the vacations that nourish your soul, and show up in the world as the most expanded version of yourself.
You are meant for wealth. You are meant for ease. And the Universe is just waiting for you to get your mindset in alignment with that truth.
If you’re ready to stop surviving your money story and start rewriting it, I’m here to help. We can dive deep into your specific blocks and start building that foundation that no market crash or tech shift can ever take away.
