Why Can a Highly Successful Woman Still Not Feel Wealthy?

The most expensive belief a woman can hold is that her money doesn't really belong to her.

I worked with a client who was making six figures a month. A MONTH. And she didn't feel wealthy.

Most of that money was passive income, and she felt guilty about it. She hadn't worked for it in the traditional sense, so she didn't believe she deserved it. She had more money coming in every month than most people earn in a year, and she was struggling to give herself permission to have it.

As we worked together, she stopped thinking of herself as someone who made charitable donations and began identifying as a philanthropist, and she got far more comfortable spending her money. She also completely overhauled her wealth management team, because she finally recognized that she had enough money to require serious financial expertise.

She had substantial wealth, and because she didn't see herself as wealthy, she hadn't even put the right people in place to manage it.

Another client I'm working with recently realized that she already had enough money to do pretty much whatever the hell she wanted. She just hadn't realized it.

Every time she considered a significant expense, fear would show up. Even signing up for my next tour to Egypt (toursandretreats.com/sacred-rise/), there were issues. When she finally examined what was happening, she discovered that the fear belonged to an earlier version of her life. Her financial circumstances had changed. Her relationship with money hadn't.

Neither woman needed to make another dollar to experience a completely different relationship with her wealth.

Women have been taught that money doesn't belong to them.

We've spent generations living in a world where men controlled most of the money and nearly every financial decision. Women were often dependent on men for their financial security, and in many places, they didn't even have the legal right to control their own assets.

So is it really surprising that so many women still carry the belief that they don't deserve money? Or that even when they have it, someone might take it away?

Some of those fears start in childhood and some are ancestral, maybe even older than that, depending on what you believe. Wherever they come from, they can be remarkably persistent.

A woman can build a wildly successful business or inherit a fortune and still be operating from the energy of someone who believes her financial security could disappear tomorrow.

The Great Wealth Transfer could change everything.

We're approaching an extraordinary shift in who controls wealth, and women are positioned to receive a significant share of it.

The financial industry is busy talking about estate planning, investments, tax strategies, and asset management. Those things matter enormously.

Who's talking about whether women are energetically prepared to receive this wealth, much less hold it?

Women could inherit extraordinary wealth and lose it because they haven't adjusted their energy to accommodate it.

If you don't believe you deserve money, how do you make confident decisions about it? And if some part of you is waiting for someone to take it away, how do you challenge the people managing it, or even know when you need better advice?

You can see this play out in very practical places. Once a woman recognizes her wealth, it changes who she lets sit at the table, and she finally stops apologizing for having money long enough to take real responsibility for it.

Having wealth and being able to hold wealth are two very different things.

The difference begins with trusting yourself.

Trusting yourself with money you earned, money you inherited, money that came through a partner, money that arrived through investments, or money that showed up in ways you never could have anticipated.

Trusting that it belongs to you, and that you have every right to make decisions about it and protect it.

For women, the Great Wealth Transfer is a once-in-history chance to rewrite our whole relationship with wealth, and receiving the money is where that work starts. So ask yourself honestly whether you're ready to become the woman who can hold it.

That's what we work on together in my complimentary live masterclass on the Great Wealth Transfer, for women who already hold significant wealth or know it's coming to them. You'll leave knowing how to spot when an old money story is making decisions your bank balance outgrew years ago, and exactly which questions to put to the people managing your assets so the authority in that room is yours.
